The village of Saint Cyr en Bourg is in the Loire Valley’s Saumur region, it neighbours the more famous village of Breze, and is home to twenty hectares of Arud Lambert’s vines. This compelling Chenin Blanc is a blend of parcels across the village and a thumbil sketch of all you can expect from this producer.
Precision, purity, and nerve but never at the expense of fruit weight and texture. Age worthy certainly but by no means impenetrable in their youth, in fact this is positively singing.
Expect citrus and beeswax with earthy undertones and a long salty close.
